Nananu, Fiji

Nananu Sunset Fiji Red sky photography night sun

The sunsets were always dramatic in Fiji and its hard to pick just one picture to showcase their beauty, but I like this snap as its unlike a lot of sunset shots for the sheer drama of the red and black lines searing across the horizon. I had a great vantage point here at the top of a steep cliff with a fairly small grassy area at the top overlooking the sea. Nananu island is off the northern coast of Fiji’s Viti Levu island.

Top tip for Nananu: You can pitch up your tent and camp for very little money on the island just remember to bring plenty of supplies as a return boat trip to the mainland is about F$20 per person (£7/$11/€9).
